EI/DL4MFM – Abbey Hill (EI/IW-082)

Abbey Hill EI/IW-082

Abbey Hill (EI/IW-082) south of Galway in Co. Clare was one of the strangest summits I ever climbed. You walk over limestone karst landscape. Between the blocks (clints) are the grikes (cuts), here you have to climb the hill with caution. From the top of Abbey Hill you have a nice view over the Galway Bay and Burren National Park. Radio conditions were good today. I have not entered the log so far, but it must be about 40 QSO with some DX stations from North America.
