Aktivierer: Du bist QRV aus einem WFF-Gebiet (die DL-Gebiete findest Du bei www.wff44.de ). Es gibt keine besonderen Anforderungen an die Station. Man kann also auch stationär oder aus dem Auto funken. Bewährt hat sich „cq cq de <call> from dlff-xxx“ in CW oder SSB. Wenn Du Glück hast, spottet Dich schnell jemand im DX-Cluster und dann hast Du erstmal reichlich zu tun 😉
Du kannst ganz normal Log führen. Dann exportierst/konvertierst Du diese Aktivität in das ADIF-Format und schickst es per EMail an Valery (siehe http://wff44.com/en/elogs/ )
Von ihm bzw. von Igor EW4DX werden die Logs eingestellt. Derzeit nur 15 Logs pro Tag. Es entsteht also eine Warteschlange und es dauert ein paar Tage, bis Dein Log in der Datenbank erscheint. Auf jeden Fall schickt Dir Igor eine Mail: Logs are uploaded.
In Deiner Mail mit dem Log schreibst Du dann eben kurz rein, um welches FF-Gebiet es sich bei dem Log handelt oder Du nennst die ADIF Datei einfach <call>_dlff025.adi. Dazu soll nachgewiesen werden, dass Du wirklich dort qrv warst. Dazu werden Fotos oder Videos oder ein GPS-Track verlangt. Ich mache es so, entweder:
In letzter Zeit benutze ich nur die APRS-Möglichkeit. Bisher gab es noch keine Rückfragen deswegen. Vielleicht wird auch gar nichts mehr verlangt. Bei der der derzeitigen Anzahl der Logs können die das eh nicht überprüfen.
Chaser: Tja – da bist Du auf die Logs der Aktivierer angewiesen. Den Upload eigener Jägerlogs gibt es nicht. Aber die Jäger melden sich sofort, wenn man mal einen Buchstabendreher im Call hat oder das Log verspätet bei EW4DX eintrifft, dann hagelt es gleich Mails 😉
Ansonsten muss man ein QSO dann per QSL nachweisen, auf der das WFF-Gebiet eingedruckt ist. Aber wer solche QSLs verschickt, der schickt auch sein Log ein, denke ich.

When sun came out in the late afternoon – Co-Operator Anton and I decided, that we will make a walk over the Piesberg. On the summit came very quickly 10 QSO into our log and we continued the walk …
Station: FT817, 5W, MP1-Antenna
Klaus, DO1KLI, reported this morning on 2m that 21MHz is wide open. Christian, DO7AG, confirmed that and reported, that he just made 30 QSOs. Okay – 15m is not my favorite band but Anton and me wanted to try it. In the afternoon we climbed on the Piesberg. Our RaDAR 5×5 station was qrv in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. (RaDAR = Rapid Deployment Amateur Radio, 5×5 = 5 Watts in 5 Minutes) We heard a brasilian station with 59. But no answer on several CQ calls. ALso a N4-Station
understood only „DC7CC“ instead „DC7CCC“. It was very hard with QRP/SSB/MP-1 to make QSOs. But luckily I reached 4 stations within 10 minutes. LR2F from Argentina, KD4D and K9MY from the U.S.A. and DO1KLI from my neighbor village. POINT! 4 QSO and all okay.
Today was the WNA – Westphalia North Activity-Evening (2m / 70cm). That’s every first tuesday in a month. During the walk with the dog I set up my portable station. 5 watt + HB9CV. The first QSO was surprising OZ1DLD/p without any problem. (in the NAC contest) After 10 minutes I had my needed 4 QSO in the log and could continue my walk with Anton … QTH was the new shaped 194m asl summit on the Piesberg.

On Saturday the 4th of September I climbed again on the „Preußisch Velmerstot“ At the Velmerstot ends the well known 156km long „Hermannsweg“ Hiking trail thru the Teutoburg Forest. But I only walked the last 5km (look at the GPS-track) from the car park over the Silberbach via the „Lippische Velmerstot“ (441m asl) to the „Preußisch Velmerstot“ (468m) with the Eggeturm (watchout tower).
The tower got a new roof in the last two years, you can compare it in my „Preußisch Velmerstot Photo Gallery„.
It was nice sunny weather that day and I wanted to play around a little bit with antennas, tune over the bands, make SSB and CW, HF and VHF.
At the end of the day I had 91 QSO in the log. It was a nice day with having lunch on the summit, watching from the tower, ragchewing, observe the late summer sunny nature.

On 2m I heard a lot of G-Stations, but my transceiver had too low power (5w) in the contest-qrm to reach them …

This is the „Home-QTH“ of DR4WFF (aprs.fi) Today my HAM friends Klaus (DO1KLI) and Christian (DO7AG) wanted to test my portable PSK station. Hardware was a eeePC with a Sound-Card-Modem from Landolt and my FT-817. Result: It doesn’t work! The soundlevel via this galavnic separated modem was too low – RX very good, TX very bad 🙁 So, I cannot recommend this PSK-modem.
Especially because one cable was wrong connected. Instead into DATA out it was connected into the PTT plug of the FT-817. But this fault I noticed before at home.
Because it was YO-DX-Contest I had quick the 4 necessary contacts in the log. Valid activation for GMA (General Mountain Award). Thanks!
Bad weather was coming up, therefore I decided to activate DM/NS-108 as DR44WFF/p again. But this weekend on shortwave. In spite of the WAEDC I had no problems to find free frequencies. Thanks to Ingo, SM6CMU, for the DX-Cluster spot. This helped on 30m.
I made in the past good experiences with the MP-1 antenna on a guardrail. First time this spring at Wittekindsberg (Porta-Westfalica/Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal) DM/NW-186
In der Neuen Osnabrücker Zeitung war diese Woche zu lesen, dass die neuen Windräder auf dem Piesberg in Betrieb gegangen sind. Also, mal nachschauen, ob man wieder auf die Felsrippe darf. Die Felsrippe war seit mindestens November letzten Jahres wegen der Bauarbeiten gesperrt. Die riesigen neuen Windräder sehen aus der Nähe betrachtet gewaltig aus! Auch hat der Piesberg eine neue Kuppe bekommen, er ist jetzt mindestens 6m höher. Richtung Süden (Osnabrück)
wird ein neuer Aufgang angelegt und in der Nähe des Labyrinths wurde eine neue Sitzgruppe eingerichtet. Fehlt nur noch ein Grillplatz 😉
Vom Teutoburger Wald her sah ich aber schon eine „schwarze Wand“ über die Stadt auf mich zukommen. Nachdem ich die HB9CV in etwa 8m Höhe auf einem DX-Wire GFK-Mast aufgebaut habe, fing es auch schon an zu tröpfeln. Der DARC-Sommer-Fieldday fiel somit quasi ins Wasser. Nach 6 QSO habe ich dann abgebrochen und bin nach Hause geschwommen. Wenigstens den Berg für das GMA (mindestens 4 QSO) qualifiziert.
Ein paar kleine Dinge gibt es noch zu tun, vielleicht ist hier und da auch noch nicht alles ganz rund, da das komplette System nun in genau 7 Tagen enstanden ist. Ebenso werden einige Eingaben (noch) nicht auf alle Fehleingaben überprüft.
Aber wem es nicht zusagt, kann sich komplett aus dem System wieder löschen.
