Home Made RTTY Converter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

was the RTTY frequency and there were some rolls of telex paper chatted. Through the architectural studies of my „XYL“ Bettina, then as now DC1BF, we moved to Nienburg\/Weser. But also here RTTY was the solution for the contact to home. In the 20m band there was an RTTY mailbox in Italy where you could leave messages and retrieve them.
In the 90s I switched to a KANTRONICS KAM, which served as a modem for a PC. A relief for the ears, the flatmates and the neighbours. The clatter finally had an end. Later RTTY was used only rarely and only with MixW I came back to RTTY.
Last weekend the CQWW WPX RTTY contest took place. This was an opportunity to use N1MM with MMTTY, but it wasn’t that easy to set up. I’m almost desperate. Fortunately, Tom, DL1DVE, could give me some tips on how to set up MMTTY. Yes – and then everything worked and was so fun that I got about 120 QSOs in the log.
It’s a good thing that this is now done on the computer, in TELEX paper it would have been several rolls \ud83d\ude42 See you soon – in RTTY?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Schon Anfang der 80er Jahre haben wir mit RTTY begonnen. Als Projekt haben wir im Freundeskreis einen RTTY-Konverter gebaut. An diesen Konverter wurde noch ein mechanischer Fernschreiber angeschlossen. Ich hatte damals einen Lorenz LO 15 Fernschreiber, Olaf, DL4BAD, ebenfalls, Stefan, DF5BW, und Martin, DL5BAD, konnten sich schon einen Siemens Fernschreiber leisten. 144.300 in FM war die RTTY Frequenz und da wurde so manche Rolle Telex-Papier gechattet. Durch das Architekur-Studium meiner „XYL“ Bettina, damals wie heute DC1BF, hat es uns nach Nienburg\/Weser verschlagen. Aber auch hier war RTTY die L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr den Kontakt in die Heimat. Am letzten Wochenende fand der CQWW WPX RTTY Contest statt. Das war doch mal eine Gelegenheit, N1MM mit MMTTY einzusetzen. aber das war gar nicht mal so einfach einzurichten. Ich bin fast verzweifelt. Zum Gl\u00fcck konnte mir Tom, DL1DVE, ein paar Tipps geben, wie MMTTY einzurichten ist. Ja – und dann funktierte alles und machte derma\u00dfen Spa\u00df, dass ich gleich knapp 120 QSOs ins Log bekam.
