On our national holiday, the German Unity Day, XYL Bettina (DC1BF) and I used this sunny and warm day for a trip. Our first destination was for HAM Radio. Convenient for this day we selected the Steinberg (DM\/NW-250 in JO42MX) where in the cold war a NATO missile base was located. We took part in a 144 MHz activity contest for 30 minutes, ODX was HB9BQU with 554 km. Station: FT-857D, 40w output into a 4x Oblong antenna<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
