for „Old Men“ – the Wittekind Hiking Trail<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Today I activated the last summit of the Wiehen Hills Ridge around the Wittekind Hiking Trail in Lower Saxony. Only a few kilometres ago is the Nonnenstein with an outlook tower and it is the first summit in North Rhine-Westphalia.<\/p>\n

The conditions jumped up and down. Not so much QSOs came into the logbook. I used my FT-817 ND barefoot, 5w output, and the MP-1 antenna. The first time with one fullsize radial instead the original radials. I think it was easier to tune the antenna and the bandwith was more wide. <\/p>\n

I made a lot of summit-to-summit (S2S) QSOs: Lutz DJ3AX with DL0GMA on „Hoher Stein“ DA\/TH-073 in Thuringia, Bernd DL2DXA on Lilienstein DM\/SX-057 in Saxony, Andy as OZ\/DL6AP\/P from the Aborrebjerg on the denish island of M\u00f8n (OZ\/OZ-005), HB9BCB\/p from the 1992m high Bec du Corbeau (HB\/VS-239) in Switzerland and OM3CUG\/p from 922m high summit Cernat\u00edn (OM\/ZA-074) in Slovakia.
