Tina (DC1BF) and I decided to visit our Radio Club’s<\/a> 2011 WAG contest activity<\/a>. Contest location is near the city of Paderborn in Westphalia, abt 120 km from our home in Osnabr\u00fcck. After a stop for lunch in Herford we reached the contest location at the begin of the contest. The operators used a nice antenna farm with verticals for 80 and 40m (four square), a 7 element beam for 10\/15\/20 and a 3element beam for the multiplier station. A Heathkit power amplifier gave the needed power that DA\u00d8CCC was heard around the world.<\/p>\n

After some nice talks and meeting radio friends we drove back to Osnabr\u00fcck. On the following day I made about 130 QSO with my SOTA station, which I set up in our garden. It was a nice opening in ALL directions. First time for me that I worked north<\/p>\n

american stations (W \/ VE)\u00a0 on 10m since 10 years – or so …<\/p>\n

Also some nice DX QSOs on 40m with my SOTA dipole …<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
