Last weekend I heard a lot of stations calling for the SBW (S\u00e4chsischer Bergwettbewerb<\/a>), I think it is more popular than SOTA<\/a> – and it has very interesting rules. It’s a year’s contest and only on VHF\/UHF. A lot of SBW summits are also valid for SOTA. Yesterday we heard on the way to Germany’s most eastern city G\u00f6rlitz<\/a> the well known SOTA activator Georg,<\/p>\n

Am letzten Wochenende riefen viele Stationen von den Bergen, allerdings meistens im SBW (S\u00e4chsischen Bergwettbewerb<\/a>), der hier in Sachsen offensichtlich wesentlich popul\u00e4rer als SOTA<\/a> ist. Der SBW ist ein Jahreswettbewerb, der nur auf UKW durchgef\u00fchrt wird und interessante Regeln hat. Etliche Gipfel f\u00fcr die SBW-Wertung sind auch SOTA Gipfel.
